Blanchards West Roxbury Zind Humbrecht is synonymous with the greatest wines of Alsace. Few producers make as fine a wine as Olivier Humbrecht's best and there may be no other wine producer in the world that makes as varied a range of wines with such consistent quality. Blanchards will be hosting Olivier Humbrecht MW, the first French man to pass the Master of Wine exam and one of the only winemakers in the world to hold the title, at a seminar in the Vintage Room at our West Roxbury location. There is no greater authority on the terroir of Alsace and the terroir of Alsace is about as complicated as any other wine region in the world, the variety of soils and microclimates is staggering and produces so many unique results. Olivier is a fanatic about terroir, he farms biodynamically and in the cellar he lets natural yeasts determine the ultimate style of each wine in each vintage. We are very lucky to be having Olivier for the night and we wish that everybody in West Roxbury could attend but space is of course limited. Tickets are $25. You can buy them here.
