Blanchards West Roxbury
Although we have a great appreciation for the classic grapes and wine regions of the world we often find ourselves looking for something different and with over 1,300 commercially produced grape varieties there are plenty of options. For some time now Steve and John Paul have been carefully selecting lessor know wines, often made with grape varieties that are unique to the producing region. In these two seminars we will focus on some of the least common grapes and wine regions. This first class will examine red wines. We will also take this opportunity to discuss the various processes that distinguish red winemaking from white winemaking; there's a lot more to it than grape skins.
