SHIPPING POLICYONLY

Blanchards Wines & Spirits ships to addresses within the state of Massachusetts only. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy.


Age Requirement

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase and receive alcoholic beverages from Blanchards Wines & Spirits. By placing an order, the customer represents that s/he is at least 21 and can provide proof of legal age upon receipt of the order. Internet orders are shipped via Federal Express. Shipments containing alcohol may not be delivered without obtaining the signature of an individual 21 or older. If no one will be at home to sign for your package during the day, we strongly suggest shipping to an alternate address, such as your place of business, or using the evening delivery option.


Delivery Times

Blanchards Wine & Spirits makes every attempt to ship items within 5 business days of receiving an order, but some orders take longer to process. Our carrier, Federal Express, will ship wine via ground service only. Second day and overnight shipping options are not available at this time. In general, customers can expect orders shipped by ground delivery service to arrive within 7 business days of placing the order.  We cannot ship wine or items that include wine to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.


We ship packages once a week on Wednesdays. Generally, packages arrive at their destination the next business day following shipment (Thursday). For an order to be shipped on Wednesday, it must be received prior to noon on Tuesday.


In-Store Pickup

In addition to shipping, customers ordering items online from Blanchards Wines & Spirits may choose to pick up orders at our West Roxbury store, located at 418 Lagrange St. There is no charge for in-store pickup.  When placing your order, please make sure to select “in-store pickup” as the shipping option.


Protective Packaging

Wine is packaged for shipping in molded plastic inserts specially designed to prevent breakage. This packaging does not, however, provide protection from extended exposure to heat. Please schedule your shipments carefully during warmer months to help ensure that items aren’t damaged by heat. Styrofoam shippers, which do provide some protection from extreme temperatures, are available for a nominal surcharge. Please call for details. Federal Express does not insure wine against heat damage. It is the customer's responsibility to take appropriate precautions when shipping wine in warm weather.


Order Confirmation and Tracking

Once the customer places an order, s/he receives an automated e-mail confirming ONLY that the order has been received by Blanchards Wines & Spirits. This confirmation is NOT an indication that all items in the order are available for shipping. (See "Out-of-Stock Items" below.) A SEPARATE E-MAIL CONFIRMATION WILL BE SENT WHEN THE ORDER HAS BEEN SHIPPED OR WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE FOR IN-STORE PICK-UP.  For shipped orders, this second e-mail will include the Federal Express tracking number for the shipment.


Out-of -Stock Items

We make every attempt to keep our online inventory accurate and up-to-date, but occasionally we run out of items unexpectedly. Blanchards will contact you if we are unable to fulfill your order exactly as it was placed. No item or vintage substitutions will be made without the customer's express permission. If we are unsuccessful at contacting you to discuss your order, our policy is to ship only the available items and adjust the shipping charges accordingly. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order and you will not be charged for out-of-stock items.


Customer Returns

Blanchards Wines & Spirits guarantees the quality of all our products and services. Your satisfaction is our first priority. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us immediately. No refunds will be made after 30 days have elapsed from the date on which the item was delivered. Customers should retain all boxes and packing materials in case items need to be returned to us. Shipping charges are non-refundable except in the case of lost or damaged orders. Consistent with industry standards, wines that are more than 10 years old are purchased at the buyer's risk and are non-returnable.


Limitations of Liability

Blanchards Wines and Spirits is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by events beyond our control. We regret that shipping charges are not refundable. We reserve the right to change prices and/or correct pricing errors at any time.
