We were drawn to this wine because of the way in which Mark pushed the envelope with this vintage of Merlot. Seventy-five percent of the wine must be Merlot to be bottled as such and that is what he has done. The other grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Franc. The resulting blend is a rich, smooth wine, brimming with blackberry, mocha and vanilla flavors.
