Peter Lehman Clancy’s Red Blend,
Few regions and wineries are as synonymous with
Australian wine history as Barossa and Peter Lehman.
Barossa, located a little over an hour north of Adelaide, has
a winemaking heritage dating back to 1842 when the first
vineyards were planted by British and German farmers.
The Clancy’s Red Blend is a great example of this area. A
blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz, this wine is reflective
of the 2013 vintage that was dry and with consistent heat
throughout the whole vintage ensuring even ripening. The
Cabernet imparts great dark fruit notes while the Shiraz and
Merlot provide fresh red fruit on the nose. Notes of dark
charred oak are noticeable in the background and make
this a great grilling-time wine. Think of your favorite steak,
or burger with cheddar and smoked bacon this summer!
|Peter Lehmann established the Tanunda-based winery that bears his name in 1979, creating a wine brand that today signifies quality Barossa winemaking.
Each vintage, over 140 grape growers supply Peter Lehmann Wines with quality fruit from over 700 hand-tended vineyards located throughout the Barossa
The collection includes all significant varieties and wine styles, ranging from the flagship Stonewell Shiraz to wines crafted for every day enjoyment. Each one backed by one of the great stories of Australian winemaking.
