Colour - Crystal Clear. Nose - Rich, fresh aroma of juniper followed by notes of coriander and cardamom. Palate - Extremely smooth, creamy and full bodies with a slight sweetness. Finish - Elegant, long, fresh and aromatic
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 95 points - An appealing nose of citrus peel, candied peel, floral and spicy character. The palate is fairly light and zippy. A wonderful gin that will work in all manner of cocktails and highballs.  (Mar 2013)

Wine Enthusiast 96 points - The full bodied, spicy aroma offers delicate notes of juniper berry oil, citrus, orris, coriander and caraway seed. Palate entry is mildly peppery, floral and fruity; at midpalate the flavor profile focuses more on oils and juniper. A unique and great gin. - Paul (8/1/2007) - 96-100: Classic/Highest Recommendation (Aug 2007)

A great depth of flavour, with a wonderfully fresh juniper, lemony bite with deeper earthy notes. It has a slight sweetness with extraordinary concentration and complexity. No single botanical dominates the overall flavour. What they say... "It's that smell. It is fabulous. It's got a really lovely junipery quality. But you can also actually feel the other rooty, earthy sort of flavourings in there. And when you come to taste it, it's soft, it's quite a strong spirit,...but it's round and it doesn't attack you at all. It's a very nice gin indeed. Good with tonic I'd say."

Plymouth is ideal served with tonic over ice and a squeeze of lemon or lime. Alternatively savour its smooth taste in, amongst other wonderful cocktails, the Fraise Sauvage cocktail featured in the Detroit News newspaper - a more terrific variation of champagne with fresh strawberries!
