Wine Advocate 90 points - A beautiful Margaux, the 2003 Marojallia exhibits notes of licorice, charcoal, graphite, black currants and flowers. This sensational effort may be one of the top two or three wines of the vintage. Still young and fresh with an opaque plum/purple color, medium to full-bodied flavors and terrific intensity, purity and equilibrium, this beauty is a testament to Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud. It should continue to evolve for another 10-15 years.
A classic, pure bouquet of smoke, black currants, blueberries, and flowers is followed by a powerful yet elegant, medium to full-bodied, ripe, moderately tannic, classically proportioned Margaux. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020+.
