MulderBosch chenin Blanc
Since its inception in 1989, Mulderbosch has been producing some of the most sought after of South African white wines. Morningpicked
to retain the freshness of the fruit during transport to the crush pad, these Chenin Blanc grapes are grown on a shale-like soil
that adds minerality to the finish. Fermented for the most part in stainless steel, a small portion of the wine sees oak fermentation
and aging in new French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels. Coming off a spectacular vintage, Cellar Master Mike Dobrovic
had this to say: “The result has been a Chenin Blanc with wonderfully delicate pear fruit aromas rather than the apricot aromas we
usually get from the botrytised grapes”. A dollop (5%) of Sauvignon Blanc lends a little zip – and refreshing acid crispness- to the
finish. This wine pairs well with Lemon Chicken, salads, and shellfish – as well as the curried cuisines of India and Malaysia.
