Graham Beck is another one of our new favorite producers. We have featured the Chardonnay and the Brut in previous newsletters and this Cabernet Sauvignon is another gem. Grown in the Robertson appellation in Western Cape, Gamekeeper is an exotic, dense wine with rich mocha and coffee flavors that explode on the palate. The finish lasts and lasts. The winery has moved to protect some of the land they own from erosion and development setting aside half for native plants and wild life. The three thousand eight hundred hectare farm was recently the second winery in South Africa to be conferred Champion Status by the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative. Some of the revenue from this great wine with its beautiful label will go to this effort. We found another star from our winemaker friend, Pieter in South Africa.
