The aromatic Yarden Mount Hermon Red puts an emphasis on fresh red fruits, such as raspberries and cherries, but includes hints of fresh herbs and black pepper. The flavorful medium body has firm structure with a satisfying finish. Though immediately pleasurable, one can readily enjoy Mount Hermon Red over three years from the harvest. We like Mount Hermon Red whenever we suddenly yearn for a glass of red wine and enjoy drinking it with a wide variety of foods, such as tapas, pastas and grilled meats.

The Mount Hermon Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Most of the fruit came from the central Golan vineyards Yonatan, Tel Phares, Allone Habashan, Kidmat Zvi and the northern Golan vineyard Ortal. The wine completed malolactic fermentation and was not sterile-filtered at bottling.

The Galilee (or Galil) is the most northern, and generally considered the best, appellation in Israel. The highest quality area within the appellation is the Golan Heights (or simply the Golan), the coldest region in Israel. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau rise from 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) and receive snowfall in the winter. The Golan Heights Winery is located in the town of Katzrin, in the central Golan.
