Sacha Lichine, son of the famous author and vineyard owner Alexis Lichine started his own business when he was just eighteen
years old. A colorful man who has spent a lot of time in the United States he knows the type of wine that is successful here. In 1990,
he started his own negociant named Borvin, selling wines from some of the most prestigious wineries like, his late father’s Chateau
Prieure- Lichine. In 2000, he created “wines without frontiers” a negociant for wines from the southern appellations of France. Le
Poule Blanche is one of the best wines we tasted from this company. A blend of fifty percent Chardonnay, forty percent Sauvignon
Blanc and ten percent Viognier is a delightfully refreshing wine with bright fruit and a racy, clean finish. This is a beautiful wine
gushing with bright tropical fruit flavors. Recently selected as one of the Boston Globe’s Top Fifty Plonks we were able to secure
a large supply of this wine for the newsletter. Pair this wine with cheese, seafood or a diverse number of appetizers.
