Wine Advocate 92 points - The 2006 Reserva is 100% Tempranillo from Alta and Alavesa matured in American and French oak over 20 months. The nose is well-defined, with notes of wild strawberry, leather, sage and tobacco that speaks clearly of its place. The palate is also well-defined, with fine tannins and harmony: an elegant, focused Reserva with a satisfying, silky smooth finish. Excellent. Drink now-2020. (Aug 2012)

Wine maker notes
Vina Bujanda Reserva, made of 100% Tempranillo, comes from Rioja Alta and Alavesa areas. Grapes are grown in clay and harvested during the first week of October. The wine is then fermented in stainless steel tanks for 16 days and aged in oak for 20 months before it is ready to enjoy. The resulting wine shows intense complexity and great aging potential.

Food pairing
Pair this wine with juicy steaks, lamb chops, and beef kebab.
