Alt is German for 1/2old», and these beers are of a style older than the lagered beers, a remnant of the time before lager was invented. AKA: Alt, Dusseldorfer Alt. Pronunciation guide for English-speakers: 1/2ullt-beer». Altbier is top-fermented then cold lagered for a few weeks. It is mildly fruity, with a warm aroma and malty taste, while summoning up coffee taste sensations on going down and with a typically dry finish. There is more hop bitterness here than in most German beers. Impenetrably dark with golden-brown gleam when held up to the light, It is brewed from five types of malt, two of wich are horrified dark. It does not distract you from the good food and a nice friendly conversation, but rather complements it!

Producer
AGNER & WOLF Brewery Corp. was incorporated in 2012 with only effort of two enthusiastic people, Erwin and Nataly Agner , and whose dream of childhood, to have their own brewery, has come true. Living in the USA but having German roots, we had not another way but to brew German beer according to the traditions and the law of purity of 1516, which would be classical in its base and stylish per se. Our lineup represents four types of beer: Hefeweizen (Wheat beer), Altbier (Ale), Marzen (Red Lager) and Schwarzbier (Dark Lager). Our strategy is in the brewing of beer of high quality, which we could drink by ourselves with a great pleasure and would be proud to offer others. Our goal is to diversify the US beer market bringing in it the European style. We want the American consumers to have an opportunity to taste other types of beers, which are different from those, to which they are accustomed to, and be a part of the great European beer family as well. Our company is young but perspective, and though we are just in the start of the long way to the pinnacle of success, we are sure that in the time soon our beer can get its admirers.
