A lovely, intriguing blend of Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, made by Pierrick Harang, a rising star winemaker in France’s southwest Mediterranean Languedoc-Roussillon region. He was the top graduate in his class from the Oenology and Research Center of Montpellier and is the consultant for prestigious wineries such as Moulin de Breuil, Château Pech-Céleyran, Château de la Tuilerie and Château de Flaugergues. Harang has no family castle, no vast vineyards, but is the fifth generation of a family of wine merchants and oenologists and uses his technical expertise and scientific mastery of winemaking to make his own line of wines. Using his extensive contacts with growers in the Languedoc, Harang identifies choice vineyards, controls vineyard husbandry and picking, and makes the wine himself. With a bouquet and flavors of lime, grapefruit and exotic fruits, it is very crisp and fresh, un-oaked, only 11% alcohol, and simply delicious. Pair this delightful white with fish, shellfish and other light fare or as a refreshing aperitif.
