Distinct in its subtlety and sweetness in flavors, Canadian Mist offers a rich experience that is filled with vanilla, caramel and dark fruit combined with a light, clean finish that is so refined, it is surprising for a whisky.
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 85 points - Harvest gold color. Sweet maple-like aromas are complemented by deeper scents of vanilla bean, dark caramel and honey. Taste-wise, itís akin to maple syrup, pipe tobacco and baked apricot. Long in the finish. (Mar 2012)

Canadian Mist is true Canadian whisky. It is the worlds first whisky made with fresh water from the Georgian Bay, one of North Americas freshest water sources. Canadian Mist is aged in the finest white oak barrels made specifically for Canadian Mist and charred to exact specifications to impart a smooth vanilla flavor. Its accolades from around the world attest to the brands quality and authenticity. And Canadian Mist is triple-distilled for a light, clean taste that is ideal for mixing those straightforward, classic cocktails which have set the standard for decades.

Over 25,000 years ago, a glacier driven south by the last Ice Age carved a perfect basin out of the granite Ontario bedrock. Millennia later, as the glacier retreated, it left the granite basin behind, filled with one of the largest sources of pure freshwater in North America. Today, it is known as the Georgian Bay. The lands along the bay were the domains of the Hurons long before the first European settler arrived. It was the happiest of hunting grounds, ringed by abundant fresh water, evergreen forests, fertile fields and the scenic Blue Mountains to the southwest. All of the elements were in place. It was the perfect spot on Earth for distilling Canadas true whisky. By the 1840s, European settlers began to arrive in significant numbers, and the town of Collingwood grew and prospered on the shores of the Georgian Bay. But it wasnt until 1967 that Collingwood fulfilled its great promise for distilling. That year the Canadian Mist distillery was built, producing the first whisky in the world to source its water from the Georgian Bay. Almost from the very start, Canadian whisky lovers took note of Canadian Mist, which by 1983, grew to become Americas largest-selling Canadian whisky.* Today, Canadian Mist continues to be one of Americas most popular Canadians. Take one sip, and youll know why.
